The "Arts, Briefly" blog at the New York Times reports that President Obama is staffing a position in the White House Office of Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs for overseeing cultural and artistic affairs. The post would coordinate the work of the National Endowment for the Arts and also the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
