Small Towns Face Losing Their Libraries
The Voice Of America has more on the Oregon closings. A community in southern Oregon is bracing for the very real possibility that its entire library system will soon be closing down. The first public library in the United States was established before there even was a United States, and libraries have been an integral part of American communities ever since. Almost every town has one and many people, including Jenny Mastroni, can't imagine life without one.
